With increasing survival rates in congenital heart disease (CHD), there is a growing need for lifelong care and surveillance. The WCC 2026 session will explore early detection using fetal and neonatal screening, advances in interventional and surgical repair, and innovations in non-invasive monitoring. Topics will include the psychosocial aspects of living with CHD, genetic counselling, and the role of 3D printing and virtual simulation in surgical planning. Strategies for smoother transitions from paediatric to adult congenital care will also be addressed.
